

Once up, Mulan says that she’s going to teach Merida how to fight better than any man, and have the one thing that will help her, honor. She takes it and introduces herself happily. The soldier removes her helmet, introducing herself as Mulan. The two fight, but Merida ends up on her back quickly. She notices the soldier behind her and takes out her sword to challenge them and to prove that she doesn’t need the training. Merida insists that she doesn’t need any man to teach her how to fight. He tells her that he promised her mother to keep her safe so he brought on a soldier to teach her the art of war. She realizes that he’s trying to bribe her and asks him to tell her what it is.
